BREAK THE BAND
It takes a TEAM of stars to create the star that’s in front of the spotlight. The team behind the superstars you see on TV are just as important, if not more so, than the artists themselves, and it's what goes on behind the scenes and out of the limelight that truly creates a cultural icon. That is exactly why your entire team must be firing on all cylinders in order to reach your goal by the deadline, and give your artist/band a chance to reach a worldwide audience. That is what Break The Band is all about.
Each team must select the three roles they deem the most important in order to create their star and break the band. Two to three individuals will work together in each of these three “roles,” which include: an A&R rep, whose sole purpose is to discover the talent and convince the team that their find has star potential; a radio promoter, who has the connections and the people skills to talk program directors from radio stations into playing an unknown artist; a marketing manager/publicist, whose job is to create a marketing strategy that will make the artist stand out amongst a sea of other talent; a creative director, who will come up with the label name and logo as well as help develop the artistic direction of how to present the artist's album & overall appearance; a songwriting team, who will write hit after hit, guaranteeing the artist's songs will be stuck in your head for years to come; a band manager, who handles the day to day affairs for the artist, corresponds with the artist, and fights tooth and nail for what s/he believes is best for the artist; and last but not least, the label president, whose only job is to tell all the label employees what they're doing wrong and how he could do it right.
Drawing parallels from your everyday work environment, there will be budgets to adhere to, deadlines, quotas to meet, brainstorming sessions, but the goal of your team is to come up with one, unified plan to "break" the band.
After teams are formed, each group is tasked with completing trivia, photo, and video challenges, using BridgeTheApp™, our proprietary game app, on iPads®, in order to earn the money needed to purchase the supplies they need for success. After decorating the team sound recording booth, the song will be recorded by the artist, and backed by a professional, local musician, whose part of our team and ready to assist your teams for success.
The event culminates with a live performance competition at which even Simon Cowell would marvel. In addition, participants will have a “take home” recording of their hit song, to listen to for years to come.
For those who wish for an event that’s a bit simpler and a little less expensive, instead of using professional musicians, writing completely original songs, and recording the back-up track on site, we have a catalogue of existing backing tracks to which your participants write original lyrics. They then record the vocals over top of the existing backing tracks.
As with all BridgeTheApp™-powered events, shortly after its conclusion, your inbox will contain a link to a web page where all of the photos and videos, captured by your participants, will be available for viewing and download.
To ensure an outstanding experience, aspects of this event may be modified to maximize the benefits for your group size, makeup, available time, and other variables.
