FIELD OF DREAMS
Take me out to the ballgame, and warm yourself up to an all-American experience you’ll remember long after the final pitch. Field of Dreams is a combination of exciting baseball-themed field games and challenges and an all-American cookout.
The field is set, and the event begins with an exciting group activity to get everyone in the game frame of mind. After that, teams are formed, and uniforms (color-identifying baseball caps) are distributed. Once all teams are suited up, the real battle begins.
As teams slide from base to base, they compete in a variety of baseball-themed challenges, attempting to outscore their rivals, and earn the most points on the scoreboard. Some of the challenges teams face include pitching, batting, and catching . . . but don’t be fooled . . . this is a different event and nothing is as simple, or straight forward, as it seems.
High above the playing field, energized music fills the air, and keeps everyone’s pulses pumping, while the voice of an emcee keeps your participants up-to-date with play-by-play announcements and who’s ahead, and who’s behind, on the scoreboard.
In order to ensure that all participants are comfortable with the level of physical activity required during each challenge, we incorporate the “Player’s Preference.” This component allows a player to pass the proverbial bat to a fellow team member, and simply cheer on his or her mates, during challenges outside his or her physical comfort zone.
Lest those with a creative flare feel “benched,” the event is complete with each team creating its own team anthem, performed at the seventh inning stretch.
After the final inning, the scores are tallied. Based upon these scores, teams are ranked, which determines the order they visit the grand stand, to choose their main ingredient of beef, chicken, pork, or tofu, (for their sliders, hots, or brats) and their choice of bread, salad supplies, and more.
If you build it, they will come . . . teams are challenged to create an award-worthy slider, hot, or brat, grilled fresh and on-site, and topped with a variety of cheeses, veggies, and homemade sauces. In addition, a winning side dish is crafted, and all are judged by the umpires and savored by your participants. And of course, one team will take home the gold medals!
America’s favorite pastime is perfect for those warm summer days, and our Field of Dreams is sure to be a grand slam!
Good Will Option: This event may also be presented with a charitable component, where the brand-new supplies (bats, balls, gloves, etc.) that are purchased for, and utilized during, the event are donated to a local children’s charity, during the final awards presentation. Our Build a Field of Dreams is a sure-hit home run!
Due to variables in venue location and size, the event is easily customizable. Whether on your company’s parking lot or side yard, a state park, or a hotel’s grand lawn, we are able to create an event appropriate for nature’s elements at hand. And we’re more than happy to help you with any required permitting.
To ensure an outstanding experience, aspects of this event may be modified to maximize the benefits for your group size, makeup, available time, and other variables.
