From strategy and branding to sound booth design and live recording, this event hits all the right notes for teamwork, creativity, and unforgettable fun.

It takes a team of stars to create the superstar in the spotlight. Behind every cultural icon is a network of talent scouts, promoters, managers, and creators who work tirelessly behind the scenes. Break the Band immerses participants in this dynamic world, where collaboration, creativity, and strategic planning are the keys to success.

In this competitive, music-industry–themed experience, teams step into critical record label roles—from A&R reps and marketing managers to radio promoters and band managers. Using our BridgeTheApp™ platform, team’s complete trivia, photo, and video challenges to earn budgets, purchase resources, and build a unified plan to launch their artist. The event culminates in the creation of a decorated sound booth and a live song recording with professional musicians, making every participant feel like part of the journey to break the next big star.

 

Event Flow:

  1. Welcome & Icebreaker
    • Kick things off with an energizing introduction on how every superstar’s success depends on the team behind them.
  2. Mission Brief & Team Formation
    • Teams are introduced to their mission: launch an artist and build a strategy to break the band. Each team selects three key roles (e.g., A&R rep, marketing manager, creative director, band manager, songwriter, or label president) and assigns members to those responsibilities.
  3. BridgeTheApp™ Challenge Series
    • Teams use iPads® loaded with our BridgeTheApp™ platform to complete trivia, video, and photo challenges. Each completed challenge earns money to invest in their artist’s career, giving them access to supplies and resources needed for success.
  4. Strategy & Role Execution
    • Teams collaborate to create a launch plan, balancing budgets, deadlines, and creative ideas.
  5. Booth Design & Recording Session
    • Teams decorate their sound recording booth to showcase their artist’s image and brand.
    • Their chosen “artist” records a song with the support of a professional musician from our staff, turning strategy into a tangible performance.
  6. Presentations & Awards
    • Each team presents their band’s brand, campaign, and recorded track.
    • Fun award categories may include:
    – Best Band Branding, Catchiest Song Concept, Top Industry Hustle, “Future Grammy Winner” Award
  7. Final Encore
    • Teams come together to reflect on the challenges and parallels to their real workplace—budgets, deadlines, and teamwork. The event closes with a celebration of collaboration, creativity, and the behind-the-scenes teamwork it takes to make a star shine.
